Zoe Lewis is the Founder and Principal Podiatrist at Podiatry Medic. She holds a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and is currently undertaking postgraduate surgical training with the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons. She has also completed further education in Lifestyle Medicine through Harvard University (USA), supporting a broader, evidence-based approach to patient care.

Alongside her podiatry practice, Zoe works as a Surgical Assistant to a leading New Zealand orthopaedic surgeon, with direct involvement in the surgical management of lower-limb, sports and musculoskeletal conditions. This experience complements her podiatric expertise and provides valuable insight into both conservative and surgical treatment pathways.

Podiatry Medic holds the contract to provide the High-Risk Foot Clinic at Lakes District Hospital. Zoe is the podiatrist delivering this specialist service, managing patients with complex diabetic, vascular and high-risk foot conditions. Her work includes advanced high-risk foot and vascular assessment, wound and ulcer management, neurological assessment and the management of patients at increased risk of limb-threatening complications, with coordination of further investigation and specialist medical, vascular or surgical referral when required.

Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal podiatry, nail surgery, fungal nail disease, medical laser therapy, diabetic and high-risk foot care, vascular assessment and preventative foot health.

Before establishing Podiatry Medic in Queenstown, Zoe practised in Australia, where she was the Director of a successful private podiatry clinic servicing Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter Region. She continues to undertake advanced professional education and training, bringing contemporary techniques and evidence-based treatment options to her patients.

Outside clinical practice, Zoe enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and animals, and making the most of Queenstown’s outdoor lifestyle. She values building genuine relationships with her patients and providing care that is professional, individualised and approachable.
